The same tool used for testing everyday in the UNH-IOL Ethernet Switching Protocols (ESP) Testing Services is now available to use in your own labs. See the below list of available testing packages. Each test package contains a complete set of tests for use with IOL vIOLett® Software, which is included with any test package license.
Members will have a 2 seat license included in their membership, and can choose 2 seats of a single package, or 1 seat of 2 different packages. Additional 2 seat licenses can be purchased as per the below.

About IOL vIOLett® 802.1 Core Test Software
To meet the needs of its higher layer protocol based conformance testing, we have developed custom test software, IOL vIOLett® 802.1 Core Edition. These packages offer automated protocol conformance testing and analysis at layer 2 of Ethernet.
Designed for the Tester
The vIOLett® software has a client/server modular design that allows for the simple addition or removal of defined protocol and modules types. Simply drop in a test module application and you are ready to start pre-testing your implementation. The modular design also goes one step further by automatically capturing and logging each test result. Designed for test cases to be run in batch automated style or running selected test cases to quickly resolve a potential issue.

The IOL vIOLett® 802.1 Core Edition packages are the same set of tools used for testing in our Ethernet Switching Protocols (ESP) Testing Services. Internal testing allows your company to resolve issues in advance of sending your products in for official testing at the IOL.
