About the Plugfest

Our Higher Speed Networking (HSN) Plugfest will help you improve the interoperability of a Ethernet ecosystem using Ethernet technology of 50G/100G/200G per lane testing.

This plugfest is open to Ethernet Alliance members, IOL members and customers, and interested parties needing to test cables, devices, and/or systems. If you're interested in attending, please complete this quick form to allow us to better plan a successful test event for high-speed Ethernet.

 

Plugfest Focus

Interoperability of Ethernet Systems from 100GbE to 1.6TbE

  • System-to-system L1 interoperability assessment of Ethernet devices
  • System-to-transceiver L1 interoperability assessment of Ethernet devices
  • Teseting includes NICs, switches, servers, storage arrays, cables, and test equipment
  • 50G/100G/200G per lane testing

Ethernet hHst PHY Compliance Assessment

  • Continued 50G and 100G/lane AN/LT evaluation
  • Pathfinding and testing in support of IEEE 802.3dj 2.0 draft completion

Interconnect Validation

  • Conformance testing for various interconnect options
  • Cable/module functionality, including testing of dynamic configurations, timing, and power
  • Testing includes DAC, AEC, ACC, AOC, retimed optics, linear optics, and partially retimed optics

The plugfest will be held at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Labs, 21 Madbury Road, Suite 100, Durham, NH 03824.

Participants should make hotel and transportation arrangements in advance of the event. See additional resources below. Breakfast, afternoon snacks, and a catered lunch will be available on site during the hours of the plugfest.

Equipment Shipping Information

Instructions for shippling plugfest equipment:

  • All equipment must be shipped to the Interoperability Labs in time to arrive no later than Friday, May 30, 2025.
  •  
  • No collect shipments will be accepted, and all shipping fees, including U.S. Customs charges, are the responsibility of the shipper.
  •  
  • There is NO Saturday or Sunday delivery service available.
  •  
  • Companies shipping equipment to the plugfest are required to cover all shipping and customs/duties costs. The Interoperability Labs will NOT pay for U.S. Customs charges.
  •  
  • Failure of a company to pay for shipping will require the Interoperability Labs to bill the participating company for outstanding shipping and customs/duties charges plus a two hundred and fifty dollar ($250.00 USD) handling fee.
  •  
  • Please remember that international shipments must be cleared through U.S. Customs. Consider adding a week of additional time in shipping your equipment, since clearing U.S. Customs may take one week or more.
